In an event marking the joyous occasion of Dussehra, CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu unveiled an ambitious vision for the region of Sunni, highlighting plans to elevate the local hospital to a 100-bed healthcare institution and promising the establishment of a Mini Secretariat and an SDM office in the area. Notably, the Chief Minister also initiated the formation of the HPSEBL Sub Division in Shoghi of Shimla Rural Assembly constituency. The event witnessed the inauguration and laying of foundation stones for 18 crucial development projects, collectively valued at Rs 174 crore, enhancing the prospects of the Shimla Rural Assembly segment.
Furthermore, CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu underscored his commitment to aiding those affected by calamities, emphasizing the government’s decision to increase compensation for fully damaged houses, provide free utilities connections, and offer construction materials at subsidized rates. He also lambasted the BJP for its purported lack of support during the state’s recent challenging times, citing the party’s failure to back the demand for a special relief package during the Vidhan Sabha session, calling it a disregard for the welfare of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Earlier in Kangra, the Chief Minister inaugurated development initiatives amounting to Rs 77 crore and extended financial assistance to various individuals for their entrepreneurial pursuits and educational endeavors, showcasing the government’s dedication to fostering holistic development and inclusivity across the state.
