A tragic incident unfolded in the Kherki Daula area of Gurugram , when a 24-year-old man from Rajasthan was allegedly beaten to death by his relatives following a drunken brawl. The incident took place on March 24 while the man and his family were residing in a tent near Rampura village, as reported by the police on Friday.
The victim, identified as Sonu Bagaria, along with his wife Padma and children, had been living in a tent near Rampura village for the past two months. Padma recounted the events leading to the fatal incident, stating that on the evening of Holi, Sonu had brought some liquor while she had prepared mutton curry for the family.
According to Padma’s statement to the police, both she and Sonu consumed alcohol, and around 8 pm, their relatives – Pradhan, Ramkishan, and Teenu alias Siyaram – arrived at their tent. After consuming alcohol, a heated argument ensued among the group, which escalated into a physical altercation. Padma alleged that the three relatives brutally attacked Sonu during the brawl.
Tragically, Sonu sustained severe injuries from the assault, and despite efforts to rush him to their native place in the car, he succumbed to his injuries on the way, Padma mentioned in her complaint.
