Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister-designate of Madhya Pradesh, has confirmed that the oath ceremony for the state’s new government is scheduled for Wednesday, December 13. Speaking to reporters in Bhopal, Yadav expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the people and outlined his commitment to continue the development initiatives initiated by former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Accompanying Yadav in the oath-taking ceremony will be Deputy Chief Minister-designates Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda. The trio is set to assume their respective responsibilities on Wednesday. Yadav, a representative of the Yadav OBC community, emphasized his dedication to serving the people and affirmed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) commitment to fulfilling promises and advancing development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
“I am a soldier of the BJP. It has become the largest party in the world because it takes care of all of its workers. I am happy that the party has given this huge responsibility to an ordinary worker like me,” Yadav stated, expressing his joy at being entrusted with the significant responsibility.
Reflecting on the recent electoral victory in Madhya Pradesh, Yadav acknowledged the support of the 8.5 crore people and credited the BJP’s progress to the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. He assured the public that the new government would continue to work tirelessly for the region’s progress.
Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, extending his congratulations to the newly appointed Deputy Chief Ministers and expressing confidence in their capabilities, highlighted their positive contributions to the state’s development.
Furthermore, Chouhan congratulated former Union Minister Narendra Tomar on his role as the new Speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, expressing optimism that Tomar’s guidance and experience would further enhance the state’s development.
Poonam Chand Yadav, Mohan Yadav’s father, expressed his surprise at his son’s journey to becoming the Chief Minister, attributing it to the blessings of the deities Mata and Baba Mahakal.
Mohan Yadav, who won as an MLA from Ujjain Dakshin in 2013 and 2018, took the oath as a cabinet minister in the Madhya Pradesh Government in 2020. The BJP’s resounding victory in the recent assembly elections secured 163 seats out of 230, with the Congress trailing at 66 seats.
