National Education Policy to be Rolled Out in 42 Kendriya Vidyalayas in Guwahati Region

NEP 2020 will be put into practise in 42 Kendriya Vidyalayas in the Guwahati Region.
A press conference on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in the 42 Kendriya Vidyalayas of the region was held on Thursday at KV IOC Noonmati in Guwahati, ahead of the third anniversary of the National Education Policy, 2020 on July 29. There were also representatives from the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

It was announced at the media briefing that on July 29 at the ITPO in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would launch the second Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam, which coincides with the third anniversary of NEP 2020.

The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship are in charge of organising the two-day event. On this occasion, the prime minister will announce a number of measures.
According to Chandrashekhar Azad, DC, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Regional Office, Guwahati on Thursday, the National Education Policy (NEP) supports scientific temperament, learning instead of studying, and critical thinking.

At the event, which is being held by the Ministries of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, PM Modi will also announce a number of projects.

Professor Gautam Barua, Director of IIT Guwahati, had stated that all of the policy’s provisions may be anticipated to be completely operationalized by 2040 due to the scope and comprehensive nature of the National Education Policy and its goal. Dr. Ferdous A. Barbhuiya, Associate Dean (Administration) at IIT Guwahati, provided information on the steps IIT Guwahati has taking to promote both student welfare and comprehensive academic advancement.

“NEP 2020 has established the base for streamlining an array of progressive objectives, which is expected to catalyse the furtherance of academic and research excellence in the institutes of higher education,” said Professor Parameswar K Iyer, acting director of IIT Guwahati, in his introductory comments.

In order to create a workforce that can meet the demands of a nation that is enlightened, conscientious, knowledgeable, and competent and is able to recognise and address its own issues in order to achieve sustainability over the long term. To ensure that the best practises are incorporated into our curriculum in the most effective way possible, we are adopting NEP2020 at IIT Guwahati in phases. Additionally, he provided a list of some of the primary NEP2020 components that IIT Guwahati has implemented through several inter-, multi-, and trans-disciplinary activities.
