The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Sunday that they found a copy of Adolf Hitler’s autobiography, ‘Mein Kampf,’ translated into Arabic, at a Hamas terrorist base in Gaza. The book was discovered in a child’s bedroom used by Hamas, with annotations and highlights. The IDF criticized Hamas, stating that the terror group embraced Hitler’s ideology, which led to the “annihilation” of the Jewish people.
Israel has drawn parallels between the October 7 terror attacks by Hamas and the Holocaust, comparing it to the genocide of 6 million Jews by Hitler-led Germany. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized the severity of the attacks, likening them to the worst act of anti-Semitic violence since the Holocaust.
US President Joe Biden also condemned Hamas, stating that the group engaged in barbarism comparable to the Holocaust. Israel’s UN ambassador, Gilad Erdan, wore a yellow star, reminiscent of the identification badges imposed on Jews during the Nazi rule, with a badge reading ‘Never Again.’ Erdan vowed to continue wearing it until the world condemns Hamas for the October 7 attacks.
On that day, over 2000 Hamas terrorists breached Israeli borders, launching coordinated attacks that resulted in the death of over 1400 people, mostly civilians. Israel responded with a fierce counter-offensive, targeting Hamas units in the Gaza Strip. However, Israel faced criticism from rights groups and the Arab world for the escalating civilian death toll. According to the Hamas-run ministry in Gaza, over 10,000 people, including more than 2,500 children, have died amid the ongoing Israeli offensive.
