“New chapter in history of Uttar Pradesh”, says CM Yogi after Special Cabinet meeting in Ayodhya

In a historic move, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet convened in the holy city of Ayodhya, signaling a new era of development and spiritual significance for the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hailed the gathering as a pivotal moment, marking the commencement of a fresh chapter in Uttar Pradesh’s rich history.

The Cabinet meeting underscored the government’s commitment to transforming Ayodhya into a globally renowned pilgrimage center. A comprehensive plan was unveiled, encompassing the establishment of an Inland Waterways Authority, the implementation of 178 development projects worth over Rs 30,500 crore, and the commencement of the winter session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly on November 28. Prior to the meeting, Chief Minister Adityanath paid reverence at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir construction site and sought blessings at Hanumangarhi Temple and Ram Lala Virajman. The Ramkatha museum, adorned with posters of Lord Shri Ram and Lord Hanuman, served as the venue for this momentous occasion.

The Cabinet meeting coincided with significant anniversaries: the laying of the temple’s first foundation stone on November 9, 1989, and the Supreme Court’s landmark decision on November 9, 2019, paving the way for the temple’s construction. The gathering also served as a prelude to the much-anticipated consecration of Lord Ram’s idol in the temple, scheduled for January 22, 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to grace the consecration ceremony along with several prominent seers.

With this historic Cabinet meeting, Uttar Pradesh has embarked on a new chapter of spiritual rejuvenation and socio-economic progress, cementing Ayodhya’s position as a beacon of faith and development.
