The National Investigation Agency seized a residence of Mohammad Akbar Khanday alias Ayaz Akbar, the chairman of the Hurriyat conference in the town of Maloora, on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in connection with the financial risk.
Officials said investigators arrived at his home in Kansas, a close aide of Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, on Tuesday morning.
NIA officials said that Khanday has issued a confiscation order of homes and land in 1 canal and 10 Marla (8,160 sq ft). The seizure was made on 31st May by order of Delhi NIA Court.
