Parliament’s Budget Session To Convene From Jan 31

The upcoming Budget session of Parliament, anticipated as the final session before the general elections in April-May, is scheduled to commence on January 31 and likely to conclude on February 9, according to sources. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present the interim budget on February 1. The session will kick off with President Droupadi Murmu addressing a joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament. Traditionally, the interim budget addresses the fiscal requirements for the interim period until a new government is formed after the Lok Sabha polls.
