Prime Minister Narendra Modi bestowed the Disruptor of the Year award upon YouTube creator Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps), sparking a jovial exchange between the two during the National Creators Award ceremony at Bharat Mandapam on Friday. Following the presentation, PM Modi commended Allahbadia and humorously remarked on potential perceptions of alignment with his own views, jesting, “People may say now that he’s saying what Modiji says, He belongs to BJP now.”
Modi then commended Allahbadia’s work and suggested he incorporate discussions on the importance of sleep into his show. The Prime Minister shared insights into his own rigorous schedule, disclosing his habit of consistently getting little sleep for many years.
In addition to Allahbadia, PM Modi honored other content creators from across the country during the ceremony. Jahnvi Singh received the Heritage Fashion Icon Award, while Kabita Singh (Kabita’s Kitchen) was recognized as the Best Creator in the Food Category.
Other recipients included Pankhti Pandey for the ‘Green Champion’ category, Keerthika Govindasamy for best storytelling, and Maithili Thakur as the ‘Cultural Ambassador of the Year.’ Gaurav Chaudhary received the award for Best Creator in the Tech Category, Ankit Baiyanpuria for Best Health and Fitness Creator, Naman Deshmukh for Best Creator in the Education Category, and Kamiya Jani as the Favourite Travel Creator.
PM Modi presented the Most Creative Creator awards to Shraddha Jain (AiyyoShraddha) and RJ Raunac (Bauaa) in the female and male categories, respectively. The National Creators Award attracted significant public engagement, with over 1.5 lakh nominations and around 10 lakh votes cast across various categories.
The initiative aims to recognize excellence and impact in storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, gaming, and other domains, serving as a platform to leverage creativity for positive change. With 23 winners, including three international creators, the award celebrates innovation and influence in the digital creator space.
