PM Modi: Guaranteeing the Trust of the Poor, Not Just an Election Formula

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that “Modi’s guarantee” is not just an election-winning formula but represents the trust of the poor, vowing not to allow this faith to be violated. He asserted that the trust of the poor energizes him to fulfill promises and duties.

Addressing opposition allegations about unemployment and inflation, PM Modi highlighted the pan-India appeal of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He expressed confidence in India’s growth journey, attributing it to the government’s initiatives aimed at enhancing global competitiveness and rapidly developing infrastructure.

PM Modi emphasized the multiplier impact of investments in infrastructure on growth and employment, noting that the government has consistently increased capital investment outlay. He underscored the importance of reforms that directly improve people’s lives, leading to India’s accelerated growth.

Discussing the success of India’s G20 Presidency, PM Modi noted the focus on human-centric development, the consensus between the developed and developing world, and the revitalization of multilateralism. He highlighted India’s role in providing a rightful place to the Global South in shaping the global narrative.

On global issues like the Ukraine crisis and Gaza war, the Prime Minister advocated for honest dialogue and sincere diplomacy, emphasizing that terrorists or violence should not set the agenda.

Regarding the recent Supreme Court judgment on Article 370, PM Modi stated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) and Ladakh are now free to shape their destinies. He outlined the government’s multi-pronged approach focusing on security, development, infrastructure investment, human capital, and reforms.

Despite two years of a once-in-a-century pandemic and global conflicts disrupting global value chains, PM Modi commended India’s remarkable resilience. He highlighted the government’s efforts to control inflation and prioritize job creation, with average inflation from 2014-15 to 2023-24 (November) at 5.1%, compared to 8.2% during the Congress-led UPA government’s tenure.

As the Prime Minister reaffirms his commitment to “Modi’s guarantee” and economic growth, India continues on the path of development, focusing on sustainable peace, stability, and prosperity for its people.
