Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues his assertive election campaign with a rally in Betul, Madhya Pradesh. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister criticized the Congress, stating that the opposition party has acknowledged the ineffectiveness of its false promises in comparison to Modi’s assurances.
“Some of the Congress leaders are sitting at home; they don’t even feel like going out. Congress leaders don’t know what they will say to the people. Congress has accepted that its false promises won’t work against Modi’s guarantees,” emphasized the Prime Minister.
He emphasized that the ongoing election is crucial to preventing Congress’s corruption and exploitation from impacting Madhya Pradesh’s treasury.
“This election is to prevent the hand of Congress’s corruption and loot from reaching Madhya Pradesh’s treasury. You should remember that Congress’s hand knows how to steal and loot. Wherever Congress goes, they bring destruction,” remarked the PM.
Modi shared insights from a comprehensive report on the state of Madhya Pradesh, claiming that Congress has acknowledged defeat in the upcoming assembly elections.
“As November 17 approaches, Congress’s claims are being exposed. Today, we received a report from the entire state of Madhya Pradesh that Congress has accepted defeat and is now relying on luck,” he asserted.
Highlighting the unprecedented trust and affection for the BJP among the people of Madhya Pradesh, Modi pointed out that the Congress never believed in the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir or the realization of the Ram temple construction.
“This is the last set of my rallies for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls because the election campaign will conclude tomorrow. Tomorrow is the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda and Jharkhand. Therefore, I will visit the state tomorrow,” announced PM Modi.
Assuring the crowd that all promises made would be fulfilled, he urged them to go door-to-door and inform everyone about his presence.
Madhya Pradesh is gearing up for polls on November 17, with the counting of votes scheduled for December 3. In the 2018 assembly elections, Congress secured 114 seats with a vote share of 40.89%, while the BJP won 109 seats with a vote share of 41.02%. Following the defection of Jyotiraditya Scindia and 22 MLAs to the BJP in 2020, the BJP formed the government with Shivraj Singh Chouhan as Chief Minister.
