PM Modi Slams Congress as ‘Outdated’ in No-Holds-Barred Attack

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a fierce critique of the Congress party on Wednesday, asserting that his belief in its outdated thinking has been confirmed. Responding to the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha, Modi stated that the party lacks a guarantee of leadership and policy, accusing it of outsourcing its work.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the Congress, Modi remarked, “My belief has been confirmed that this party has become outdated in its thinking. And when even the thinking has become outdated, they have outsourced their work also. Within no time, such a big party, who ruled the country for decades has plunged this much. We are not happy.”

The Prime Minister accused the Congress of division on the basis of caste and language and criticized its lectures on democracy and federalism. He highlighted the party’s historical actions, alleging that it had strangled democracy for power, dissolved democratically elected governments overnight, and fomented division in the country.

Modi accused the Congress of spreading a negative narrative about India, promoting a colonial mindset even after independence, and perpetuating a red beacon culture. He questioned the party’s inspiration from the British and its failure to amend laws drafted during the colonial era.  A party that allowed terrorism and separatism to flourish in its own interest. Which pushed the Northeast into violence and backwardness? Who handed over a huge chunks of land to the enemies. Those who stopped the modernization of the country’s army are today giving us speeches about national security and internal security,” he added. “Congress spread the narrative, as a result of which people who believed in Indian culture and values started being viewed with an inferiority complex…the world knows very well where it narrative was coming…’Made in Foreign’ was made a status symbol. These people can never talk about ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’…In her address, the President addressed all of us in detail about the 4 largest castes. These 4 castes are -youth, women, poor and our food providers. We know that they have similar problems and dreams. The ways to solve the problems of these four categories are also similar…” the PM said.

Rejecting the Congress’s focus on caste-based census, Modi highlighted the party’s failure to provide complete reservations to OBCs and reservation for the poor in the general category. He criticized the Congress’s stance on social justice, especially considering its lack of guaranteed leadership. ”India’s Budget used to be tabled at 5 pm because the British Parliament used to convene at that time in the morning…Who was inspired by the British? Why did Rajpath have to wait for Modi to become Kartavya Path?” he said.

The Prime Minister underscored the achievements of his government, highlighting India’s economic progress from the “fragile five” during the Congress years to becoming one of the top five economies. He expressed gratitude to President Droupadi Murmu for her address, emphasizing India’s potential, strength, and bright future.
