Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Dehradun on Friday for the inauguration ceremony of the ‘Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023,’ as announced by the Prime Minister’s Office. The summit, themed “Peace to Prosperity,” is aimed at positioning Uttarakhand as a promising investment destination.
The inauguration event, scheduled at the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun, will witness Prime Minister Modi addressing the gathering. The summit, spanning two days, anticipates the participation of numerous investors and delegates from around the world. Union Ministers, Ambassadors, and prominent industrialists are expected to join the event.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, speaking ahead of the summit, highlighted the state’s exceptional law and order situation, branding Uttarakhand as one of the safest states in the country. He expressed enthusiasm about the positive response received from various places in India and abroad, indicating investment proposals worth Rs 2 lakh crore.
The Global Investors Summit, taking place on December 8-9, aims to serve as a platform for business delegations, corporate leaders, academia, innovators, and government officials from across the globe. With an expected attendance of over 5,000 delegates, both national and international, the summit will showcase Uttarakhand’s investor-friendly policies, governance initiatives, regulatory environment, and sustainable practices.
The Uttarakhand government plans to conduct Business-to-Business (B2B) and Government-to-Business (G2B) meetings during the summit to facilitate better decision-making for investors. Furthermore, the event will provide opportunities for exhibitors and organizations to collaborate, displaying cutting-edge technologies, innovations, and future trends. Sectoral sessions during the summit will facilitate comprehensive discussions on industry challenges and opportunities.
