PM Modi To Launch, Lay foundation For 112 National Highway Projects Today

Continuing his extensive campaign across 12 states in a span of 10 days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Gurugram, Haryana, on Monday. During this visit, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 112 National Highway projects valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh crore, spread across the country.

To alleviate traffic congestion and enhance connectivity between Delhi and Gurugram on NH-48, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Haryana section of the significant Dwarka Expressway. This 19-km-long section, costing around Rs 4,100 crore, encompasses two packages: the 10.2 km Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and the 8.7 km Basai ROB to Kherki Daula. It is designed to provide a direct link to the IGI Airport in Delhi and the Gurugram Bypass.

The PMO’s official release highlighted other major projects to be inaugurated, including the 9.6 km six-lane Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) Package 3 in Delhi, the Lucknow Ring Road in Uttar Pradesh, the Anandapuram – Pendurthi – Anakapalli section of NH16 in Andhra Pradesh, the Kiratpur to Nerchowk section of NH-21 in Himachal Pradesh, and the Dobaspet – Heskote section in Karnataka. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for various National Highway projects nationwide.

The foundation stone-laying will include significant projects like the Bengaluru – Kadappa – Vijayawada Expressway in Andhra Pradesh, the Belgaum – Hungund – Raichur Section of NH-748A in Karnataka, the Shamli – Ambala Highway in Haryana, and the Amritsar – Bathinda corridor in Punjab. Alongside these, 39 other projects across the country, valued at Rs 32,700 crores, will contribute to the growth of the National Highway network, fostering socio-economic development, job creation, and promoting trade and commerce in various regions, according to the PMO.
