India Sets Ambitious Goal of Becoming Developed Nation by 2047, Says PM Modi

In his last session of Budget in parliament on saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi  underscored the pivotal role the next 25 years will play in shaping India’s future, as the nation collectively aspires to achieve developed status by 2047. Reflecting on the historic significance of this timeframe, Modi emphasized the unity of purpose driving the country towards its goals.

“The next 25 years are very important for our country,” stated Prime Minister Modi, acknowledging the diverse aspirations and resolute determination of every Indian citizen to propel India towards prosperity and development.

Drawing parallels with the transformative movements of the past, Modi invoked the spirit of the Salt Satyagraha and Swadeshi Andolan, highlighting their profound impact in paving the way for India’s independence in 1947. He emphasized how seemingly small actions can lay the groundwork for monumental shifts in national destiny.

Addressing contemporary challenges, Modi emphasized the critical importance of data in the 21st century landscape, citing the recent passage of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act as a significant milestone in safeguarding citizen’s data and garnering global interest.

Expanding on the multifaceted dimensions of security, the Prime Minister underscored the imperative of bolstering capabilities in marine, space, and cyber security domains. He stressed the necessity of both proactive measures and defensive strategies to counter emerging threats effectively.

Highlighting economic reforms undertaken by the 17th Lok Sabha, Modi pointed out the removal of thousands of compliances to streamline processes and enhance citizen’s lives. Reaffirming his commitment to ‘Minimum Government and Maximum Governance’, he underscored the potential of reducing government intervention to unleash the full capabilities of democracy.

Reflecting on the achievements of the past five years, Modi described them as a period of “reform, perform, and transform”, where tangible progress was witnessed across various sectors. He commended the efforts of the 17th Lok Sabha in navigating challenges and steering the country towards prosperity.

Amidst legislative achievements, Modi highlighted the repeal of over 60 obsolete laws and the decriminalization of 180 activities through the Jan Vishwas Act, signaling a commitment to enhancing ease of doing business and fostering trust in citizens.

With the budget session of Parliament drawing to a close, the nation now stands at a critical juncture, poised to embark on a transformative journey towards realizing its ambitious vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. As India prepares for the upcoming general elections, the collective resolve to surmount challenges and seize opportunities remains steadfast, echoing Prime Minister Modi’s call for a renewed dedication to the service of the nation.
