Police Arrest Sub-Inspector: Fake Candidate Takes Exam for Women in Rajasthan

Rajasthan police have apprehended a sub-inspector allegedly involved in arranging dummy candidates for the Rajasthan police constable exam. The investigation brought to light a web of deceit, with dummy candidates being orchestrated for multiple individuals in both 2021 and 2022 exams.

Police Arrest Sub-Inspector: Fake Candidate Takes Exam for Women in Rajasthan

In a shocking revelation, Rajasthan police have arrested a sub-inspector for orchestrating a fraudulent scheme where impostors took exams on behalf of candidates. The sub-inspector, identified as Jagdish Sihag, reportedly arranged for a woman named Harsha to appear in place of his sister and cousin during the Rajasthan police constable exam in 2021 and 2022.

According to police reports, Jagdish Sihag allegedly paid Harsha a hefty sum of ₹30 lakh to sit for the exams on behalf of his relatives who were deemed unfit to take the tests themselves due to a lack of aptitude. Harsha successfully appeared for the two women in 2021 at exam centers located in Jhotwara and Sodala.

This revelation comes in the wake of an ongoing investigation that has uncovered a network of dummy candidates being arranged for several individuals participating in Rajasthan police exams. Last week, fifteen trainee sub-inspectors, including the top performer in the recruitment exam, were apprehended for their involvement in cheating during the tests.

Earlier in February, another individual named Jagdish Bishnoi, known as ‘Guru’, was arrested for aiding candidates in cheating. Initially offering services as an impersonator and dummy candidate, Bishnoi eventually progressed to facilitating cheating through methods like leaking exam content and using Bluetooth devices.

The recent arrests and detentions are expected to have repercussions for a batch of 700 candidates currently undergoing training at the academy. Authorities are conducting detailed investigations to unravel the complexities of the cheating mafia and their interconnected operations. This latest crackdown on police personnel under training has put the Rajasthan Special Operations Group on the brink of a significant breakthrough, according to Mr. Singh, a police official involved in the investigation.
