Poonam Pandey Death: Actress passes away at 32 due to cervical cancer

According to her public relations team, Bollywood actress Poonam Pandey passed away from cervical cancer. At the time of her death, Pandey, 32, was in Kanpur, her hometown. “We’re waiting on details regarding her funeral,” the PR team said. The group continued, “We’re having a difficult morning. We must tell you with great sadness that Poonam, our beloved, passed away from cervical cancer. She treated every living thing that came into contact with her with nothing but love and kindness.”

Pandey played a teacher who develops romantic feelings for a student in the 2013 film “Nasha.” Rediff commended her performance for its sensual portrayal, and Mumbai Mirror pointed out that she played more of a real, devoted drama teacher than a mere temptress. Although she received favorable reviews, some critics felt her portrayal could have been stronger.

In the first season of the reality series “Lock Upp,” which is hosted by Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, Pandey made her most recent professional appearance. Despite not winning, she gained more fans as a result of her involvement in the show. Munawar Faruqui, a stand-up comedian, ended up winning the season.

Poonam Pandey Personal Life and Marriage

When Pandey married Sam Bombay in an unexpected ceremony, her private life came to the attention of the general public. On social media, the couple regularly posted about their lives together. However, Pandey’s accusations of domestic abuse against Bombay in 2020 caused their marriage to end soon after it started.

She had previously spoken about experiencing domestic abuse on the show. Poonam had disclosed that she had suffered a brain hemorrhage as a result of being severely beaten by her estranged husband Sam Bombay. In 2020, she wed her partner Sam Bombay in a secret ceremony. She filed a complaint against him shortly after learning of the wedding, alleging that he had abused, threatened, and molested her. According to reports, the incident happened in south Goa’s Canacona village while Pandey was filming a scene. Sam was later taken into custody.

Sam is a producer and director of commercials who was born and raised in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The industry has been rocked by the news. Pandey was well-known for her daring images and films. In 2013, she made her feature film debut in “Nasha.” In Kangana Ranaut’s reality show “Lock Upp,” she also made an appearance.
