The Poonch attack on an Army truck that killed five soldiers Thursday is believed to have been carried out by a duo named Rafiq Nai and Shamsher Nai, NewsX has learned.
Sources told NewsX that the two are originally from the Poonch region and went to Pakistan for terror training and started living there. Intelligence agencies have reportedly started decoding Pakistan’s new terror plan.
As per sources, Lashkar offshoot aided these Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists in carrying out the Poonch terror attack.
Jammu and Kashmir Gaznabi Force, which is an LeT offshoot headed by Local terrorist Nai brothers sitting in Pakistan terror handler, have directed JKGF to extend their local cadre support to trained PAFF terrorist to carry out a huge attack in Poonch, sources further mentioned.
Earlier on Friday, the Indian Army launched a massive operation to hunt down a group of around six to seven terrorists who are behind this attack. “The Army and security agencies have received inputs about the presence of 6-7 terrorists operating in two groups in the Rajouri-Poonch sector near the area where the incident took place yesterday,” ANI reported citing sources.
The deceased soldiers, identified as havildar Mandeep Singh, lance naik Debashish Baswal, lance naik Kulwant Singh, sepoy Harkrishan Singh, and sepoy Sewak Singh, were assigned to the army’s Rashtriya Rifles unit and were stationed in the area for counter-terrorism operations.
