Poonch Terror Attack Prompts Mobile Internet Suspension Amid Ongoing Counter-Terror Operation

In the aftermath of a targeted terrorist attack on Indian Army soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, mobile internet services have been abruptly suspended in the affected regions of Poonch and Rajouri. The assailants killed four soldiers and injured at least three others in the Thursday attack, prompting an immediate and extensive operation by security forces to hunt down the terrorists responsible.

As part of the security measures, authorities decided to clamp down on mobile internet services in Rajouri and Poonch districts. The move aims to control the flow of information and prevent any potential misuse of digital platforms during the ongoing operations.

Security forces have intensified their efforts, employing both aerial surveillance and ground combing operations, particularly in the forest area of Dera ki Gali in the Rajouri sector of Poonch district. The heightened security measures underscore the gravity of the situation and the commitment of authorities to swiftly address and neutralize any potential threats.

The targeted attack on Indian Army personnel has raised concerns, leading to a proactive response from security forces. The suspension of mobile internet services aligns with the need to manage the evolving situation effectively and ensure the safety and security of the region. Residents are advised to stay vigilant and cooperate with security forces during this critical period.
