Through a video conference on Thursday night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak to the “Viksit Bharat Viksit Madhya Pradesh” program. During the event, the Prime Minister will dedicate several development projects in Madhya Pradesh valued at approximately Rs 17,000 crore to the nation and lay the foundation thereof. A multitude of significant industries are served by the projects, including coal, industry, roads, trains, irrigation, and power. Additionally, according to the Prime Minister Office, the Prime Minister will introduce Madhya Pradesh’s Cyber Tehsil initiative. The PMO reports that PM Modi will dedicate irrigation projects in Madhya Pradesh valued at over Rs 5,500 crore.

The Upper Narmada Project, Raghavpur Multipurpose Project, and Basaniya Multipurpose Project are a few of these initiatives. Around 75,000 hectares of agricultural land in the districts of Dindori, Anuppur, and Mandla will be irrigated by these projects, which will also improve the area’s drinking water and electricity supply. Examples of these are the Aulliya Micro Irrigation Project and the Parasdoh Micro Irrigation Project. It also stated that more than 26,000 hectares of land in the districts of Khandwa and Betul would have their irrigation needs met by these micro irrigation projects.

In addition, the Prime Minister will dedicate three railway projects worth over Rs 2200 crores to the country. The projects include the flyover project for the Powarkheda-Jujharpur rail line, the gauge conversion project for the New Sumaoli-Jora Alapur railway line, and the third line project for the Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi Jakhlaun and Dhaura Agasod route. These initiatives will enhance rail accessibility and support the area’s socioeconomic growth.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for several industrial projects worth roughly Rs 1000 crore throughout Madhya Pradesh in an effort to spur the state’s industrial development. The projects include the upgrading of Industrial Park Pithampur in the Dhar district, the Plug and Play Park for the Garment Industry in Indore, the Mega Leather, Footwear, and Accessories Cluster at Sitapur in the Morena district, and Industrial Park Mandsour (Jaggakhedi Phase-2).
