In a campaign rally held in Rajasthan, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reiterated the promises outlined in the party’s election manifesto, focusing on eradicating poverty and addressing key issues affecting Indian citizens.
During the rally, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the Congress party’s commitment to uplift poverty-stricken households by transferring Rs 1 lakh annually to the bank account of one woman from each deprived family, amounting to Rs 8,500 per month. He stressed that this initiative would significantly alleviate poverty across the nation.
Rahul Gandhi also criticized the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), highlighting the plight of farmers, unemployed youth, and women grappling with inflation. He accused the BJP of prioritizing the interests of big industrialists over the welfare of ordinary citizens.
The Congress leader underscored the importance of the upcoming elections, framing it as a battle between the underprivileged masses and affluent billionaires. He condemned alleged corruption within the Modi government, citing electoral bond scandals and other controversial financial transactions.
Addressing the media landscape, Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP of manipulating national and regional media to deflect attention from pressing issues concerning backward classes, farmers, and the economically disadvantaged.
Furthermore, Rahul Gandhi assured voters that the Congress party would fulfill its manifesto commitments, including providing apprenticeship opportunities and financial support to unemployed youth upon assuming power.
The Congress party unveiled its comprehensive manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections on April 5, underscoring its dedication to addressing socio-economic challenges and promoting inclusive growth.
With Rajasthan set to conduct elections in two phases on April 19 and April 26, the political landscape is intensifying as parties vie for voter support. The Lok Sabha elections, scheduled in seven phases starting from April 19, are expected to witness significant voter turnout, reflecting the democratic essence of India.
As the electoral process unfolds, Rahul Gandhi’s campaign rally in Rajasthan epitomizes the competitive spirit and ideological divisions characterizing India’s democratic discourse.
