In an exclusive interview between Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu and NewsX channel Editor-in-Chief Rishabh Gulati, the Chinese embassy has issued a critical statement. The embassy has accused the Indian media channel “NewsX” of allowing Taiwan’s foreign minister a platform to advocate for Taiwanese independence.

The Chinese embassy’s statement stated: “On 29th February 2024, certain Indian TV broadcasted an interview with the head of Taiwan’s foreign affairs office Joseph Wu, which provided platform for him to advocate ‘Taiwan independence’ and disseminate false information. It seriously violated the one-China principle, and is totally unacceptable.”
In response, to which Taipei claps back at Taiwan saying, “neither India nor Taiwan are puppets of people’s republic of China. Taiwan mockingly asked Beijing to worry about its “economic slump, not bully its neighbors”
