Indian Coast Guard’s Ship ‘Ayush’ rescued a distressed fishing boat along with 9 crew members from 240 miles North-East of Chennai.
As per the official statement, the boat suffered engine breakdown and was adrift since September 2 without any communication.
Taking to social media site ‘X’, the Public Relations Officer of Tamil Nadu in Defence said, “@IndiaCoastGuard ship Ayush rescued a distressed Chennai based fishing boat with nine crew, 240 miles North-East of Chennai. The boat suffered engine breakdown & was adrift since 02 Sep without any communication. The boat was safely towed to Vishakhapatnam.”
