The official Twitter handle of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) appears to have been hacked, with the name changed to ‘Yuga labs’. Along with the name, the display image has been updated. “#DidirSurakshaKawach is a mammoth effort at securing basic sustenance for every resident in Bengal, irrespective of age, gender, caste or religion. To achieve state-wide inclusive growth & expand welfare cover, Didir Doots are generating awareness across households,” Yuga labs’ most recent tweet can be found here.
The logo appeared in the form of a ‘Y’ in black font. The All India Trinamool Congress has yet to issue an official statement on the matter. In April of last year, the Twitter account of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) was hacked. Currently, the UP CMO’s Twitter account (@CMOfficeUP) has four million followers.
The breach was discovered when unknown hackers published a post based on a tutorial titled “How to Turn Your BAYC/MAYC Animated on Twitter” using the UP CMO Twitter handle. A cartoonist image was also used as a profile picture on the UP CMO account. On the UP CMO account, the unidentified hackers also posted a thread of random tweets.
