Terrorists fired upon two migrant laborers in Anantnag, the Jammu and Kashmir police said on Tuesday.
The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. They are stated to be stable. The police have cordoned off the area for a search operation.
“Terrorists fired upon two outside laborers in Anantnag. Both the injured civilians have been shifted to the hospital, where they are stated to be stable. The area is being cordoned off for a search operation. Further details shall follow,” the Kashmir zone police tweeted.
No arrests have been made so far in connection to the incident that took place in Anantnag.
It is the second time in the past five days that a terrorist had attacked non-locals in the Kashmir valley. On July 13, Three migrant workers were shot by terrorists in Shopian.
Earlier on Tuesday security forces arrested four terrorist associates linked with proscribed terror outlets in Budgam. The four terrorist associates have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad, Azhar Ahmad Mir, Irfan Ahmad Sofi, and Abrar Ahmad Malik.
“Police, along with Army (62 RR) arrested 04 terrorist associates in the Beerwah area of district Budgam. They have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Azhar Ahmad Mir, Irfan Ahmad Sofi, and Abrar Ahmad Malik linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT,” Stated a press release.
A case under relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Beerwah, and an investigation is underway.
