Emphasizing India’s significance as a key partner, spokesperson Mathew Miller stated that the United States would appreciate any positive involvement from India in resolving the current issues in Ukraine and the Middle East. The State Department highlighted the close and productive working relationship between Secretary of State Antony Blinken and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. The Biden administration has dedicated considerable time and attention to strengthening ties with India, with multiple visits and engagements, including the G20 Summit and bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In response to inquiries about India’s potential role in addressing the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas conflicts, Miller expressed that the US would welcome India’s constructive engagement, echoing the positive relationship fostered during recent interactions between leaders of both nations.
