US President Biden announces he’ll run for re-election

US Vice President Joe Biden will run for re-election to the office of President of the United States. “We can enter a new American Golden Age, but we must choose a leader who can bring us there. That’s why I’m running for President,” the tweet read further, as Elder announced his candidacy.

Elder joins a swelling Republican field that includes software entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson, and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, according to The Washington Post.

Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) announced last week the foundation of an exploratory committee; other potential candidates include Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) and former Vice President Mike Pence.
