RRR & Bahubali Writer V. Vijayendra Prasad: Crafting ‘BRAHMAPUTRA’ – An Epic Trilogy

In a groundbreaking cinematic revelation, the genius behind blockbusters like “RRR”, “Bahubali”, and “Bajrangi Bhaijan”, the legendary V. Vijayendra Prasad, is gearing up to pen a mesmerizing

three-part magnum opus trilogy titled “BRAHMAPUTRA”.

The First Part of the Brahmaputra Trilogy focuses on the life of Raja Pritu Rai, a prominent historical figure in India. He was the ruler of Kamarupa (now Assam) during the 12th century and belonged to the Khen dynasty, who defeated Bhaktiyar Khilji.

Shailender Vyas, the producer/director of India’s first successful and highly acclaimed science fiction web series, “JL50”, will take the helm as the director of the trilogy. Furthermore, he will produce the trilogy under his banner Shailendra Vyas Productions Pvt Ltd.

Ritika Anand, who is the producer and actor of the super-hit series, JL50, is producing Brahmaputra, under her Canadian corporation, The Piggybank Movie Fund Corp. Vyas and Anand are thrilled about this collaboration and the opportunity to bring to life not just one but three scripts penned by the legendary writer, V. Vijayendra Prasad.

The mesmerizing region of Assam, embraced by the flowing Brahmaputra River, offers its own distinct culture, aesthetics, and ambiance, which can contribute to a fresh and captivating cinematic experience compared to any previous war drama made in India. For far too long, our screens have been dominated by historical war

movies that prioritize love stories and personal narratives, overlooking the intricate tapestry of battle strategies that shaped the course of history. But the Brahmaputra trilogy is the very first film project in India that puts some of these very important aspects at its forefront, showcasing the true essence of ancient warfare.

Given V. Vijayendra Prasad’s groundbreaking history of crafting  successful scripts and Shailender Vyas’s exceptional directing skills, this trilogy is bound to offer an unparalleled experience.
