Union Minister and former Army Chief General VK Singh has expressed his belief that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) will eventually integrate with India of its own accord. He made this statement in response to a question during a press conference in Dausa regarding the demands of Shia Muslims in PoK for the opening of border crossings with India.
General VK Singh was addressing the press conference as part of the BJP’s Parivartan Sankalp Yatra (PSY) program in Dausa. During the conference, he also highlighted the success of the recently concluded G20 Summit, which took place under India’s presidency. He praised the summit’s grandeur, emphasizing that India has established a unique global identity and demonstrated its capabilities on the world stage.
General Singh also criticized the law and order situation in Rajasthan under the current Congress government, stating that the state has been grappling with deteriorating law and order. He explained that the BJP organized the Parivartan Sankalp Yatra to connect with the people and understand their concerns, as citizens are seeking a positive change.
Regarding the BJP’s choice for the position of Chief Minister in the upcoming state assembly elections, General VK Singh clarified that the party typically does not announce the chief ministerial candidate, relying instead on the charisma and popularity of the Prime Minister. He stated that the party would select leaders based on their competence, utility, and public trust.
