In a pivotal electoral moment, Rajasthan witnessed a significant turnout as voters cast their ballots for 199 out of 200 assembly seats, marking a crucial battle between the incumbent Congress and the BJP. The election in the Karanpur constituency was adjourned due to the unfortunate passing of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Koonar.

Polling, which commenced at 7 am and concluded at 6 pm, transpired under strict security measures to ensure a peaceful democratic process. Key contenders, including Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former CM Vasundhara Raje, competed in what has emerged as a closely contested battle.

In conversations with News X, voters from ground zero articulated their perspectives, shedding light on the critical issues influencing their decisions at the polls.

When asked about the voting division, respondents conveyed diverse opinions, with a recurring theme emphasizing the responsibility of using voting rights wisely to elect the most suitable candidate.

Water scarcity emerged as a prevailing concern among voters. One individual expressed distress over the prolonged issue of drinking saline water, highlighting the financial strain of paying substantial amounts monthly for access to pure water.

For many voters, women’s empowerment and safety took center stage. A woman voter passionately underscored the necessity for a government that prioritizes and empowers women throughout Rajasthan.

A young voter drew attention to multifaceted development issues, including roads and cleanliness. Expressing dissatisfaction with the current government’s performance, the voter stressed the need for a comprehensive approach to address these concerns.

On the subject of women’s safety, a respondent emphasized the vital role of education and advocated for stringent laws. They stressed the need for practical implementation of women’s empowerment, moving beyond theoretical commitments.

As Rajasthan awaits the election results, the voices of its diverse electorate reflect the complex challenges that the incoming government will need to address for the holistic development and well-being of the state.
