Light Rainfall Recorded In Delhi-NCR, Sudden change in weather

Light Rainfall Recorded In Delhi-NCR, Sudden change in weather

Light rainfall graced various regions of the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) between Thursday night and Friday, offering a welcome relief from the escalating air pollution levels in the nation’s capital. Visuals captured from the Kartavya Path and the Delhi-Noida border depicted rain showers with varying intensity.

This rainfall event unfolded against the backdrop of the Delhi government’s ongoing endeavors to explore ‘artificial rain’ to address the city’s pollution crisis. On Thursday, government officials made the decision to pursue this unconventional method in their fight against air pollution.

Simultaneously, the Delhi government has dispatched its ministers to oversee the execution of anti-pollution measures. Several Delhi ministers were observed on Thursday as part of their inspection efforts, conducting assessments across different areas and the borders linking Delhi to neighboring states.

Currently, Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is in effect in the national capital. This stringent action plan was triggered as the city’s air quality plummeted into the ‘severe plus’ category.
