‘Will Hurt My Daughter If…’ Kolkata Rape-Murder Victim’s Father Denounces Refuses Compensation

The father of the 31-year-old trainee doctor tragically murdered in the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder case has refused to accept compensation for his daughter’s death. He expressed that accepting monetary compensation would be an affront to his daughter’s memory and dignity, emphasizing that his sole desire is for justice.

“I have turned down the compensation. Accepting money as compensation for my daughter’s death would hurt her memory,” the grieving father told ANI. His focus remains firmly on seeking justice rather than financial restitution.

He also expressed gratitude to those supporting his family during this difficult time, referring to them as his “sons and daughters.” The father revealed that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has assured him of prompt action, stating that the accused will be apprehended swiftly and face stringent punishment.
