Woman Arrested With 24 Stolen Laptops From Bengaluru Paying Guesthouses

A 29-year-old woman from Rajasthan has been arrested by Bengaluru police for allegedly stealing laptops from multiple paying guest accommodations across the city since 2022. According to Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda, the woman, identified as Jassu Agarwal, was apprehended with 24 laptops valued at ₹10 lakh.

The investigation into the case was conducted thoroughly, leading to the arrest and extensive interrogation of the accused. Subsequently, Agarwal was found in possession of 24 laptops, including three from each of the HAL stations in Koramangala and Indiranagar. The thefts targeted paying guests in areas near software company hubs and PG localities, such as Tin Factory, Marathahalli, Bellandur, Silkboard, Hebbala, Whitefield, and Mahadevpur.

Further investigation revealed that the stolen laptops were being sold to laptop shops in Marathahalli, Yalahanka, and Hebbal by the accused. The successful resolution of the case was attributed to the efforts of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Whitefield Division, Sivakumar, under the guidance of HAL Police Inspector and others.
