Woman’s Body Discovered In Almirah , live-In Partner Accused :Delhi

The discovery of a 26-year-old woman’s body stuffed in an almirah in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka area has sent shockwaves through the community. The harrowing incident came to light after the victim’s father, concerned by his inability to contact her for several days, approached the police on Wednesday seeking help.

A distress call was received by the authorities at 10:40 pm on Wednesday, prompting a swift response from a team at Dabri police station. They rushed to the woman’s residence in Dwarka’s Rajapuri area, where the grim discovery was made.

“Upon entering the flat, the body of the woman was found in the almirah of a room. The crime scene was inspected by the crime team and FSL,” a senior police official reported.

The victim had been living with her live-in partner, identified as Vipin Tailor, in a rented accommodation for approximately one and a half months before the tragic incident unfolded. The woman’s father suspects foul play, pointing towards her live-in partner as a potential suspect in the murder.

The grieving father revealed that his daughter had expressed fear for her safety in recent conversations, detailing instances of physical abuse allegedly inflicted by her live-in partner. These chilling revelations have added a layer of complexity to the investigation.

Following the discovery, the victim’s body has been transferred to the DDU Hospital mortuary for autopsy. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to locate the accused, Vipal Tailor, who hails from Surat in Gujarat.

“Based on the statement of the complainant, a case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the accused,” the police officer stated. Additionally, police teams are diligently scanning CCTV cameras in the area to piece together the sequence of events leading up to the tragic incident.

The case has left the community in shock and mourning, highlighting the urgent need for addressing issues of domestic violence and ensuring the safety of individuals in live-in relationships.
