In response to the recent attacks, the Indian Army plans to increase troop numbers in the Poonch-Rajouri sector, strengthening the counter-terrorist grid. A Staff Court of Inquiry is underway against the 13-Sector Rashtriya Rifles Commander, addressing lapses in operations. The Indian Army chief, Gen. Manoj Pande, visited the Poonch-Rajouri sector to assess current operations and discuss strategies against terrorism.
