Chinese Scientists call for anti satellite development

According to Chinese media, Chinese Scientists are calling for developing anti-satellite capabilities to counter Star link internet satellites.

In a paper published in the Military research Chinese Journal of Modern Defense Technology, researchers claimed that Starlink could be used against Chinese defense as it has the capability of high-speed internet.
Starlink is a Satellite constellation launched and operated by Space X, it aims to provide global internet connectivity.

It was first launched in 2019 and is operational in 32 countries, currently, Space X has launched 2400 satellites.

Chinese military researchers highlighted the fact that Star link and the US military had explored the possibility of using the Star link connection to military aircraft.

To counter this possibility Scientists have called to develop anti-satellite technology with Hard and soft kill capabilities, stressing Soft kill capabilities where it can target and destroy the satellite software. Additionally, the researcher suggested developing a surveillance system where they can track the Starlink satellite.
