12 Pakistani Died In Arabian Sea, After Their Boad Capsized

The military announced on Wednesday (March 13th) that twelve Pakistani fishermen lost their lives after their boat capsized in the Arabian Sea. The navy has been conducting search operations to locate two fishermen who are still missing since the incident on March 5.

Rescue efforts involving helicopters, ships, and speedboats have been deployed to scour the waters off southern Sindh province.

According to the army’s public relations wing, the bodies of 12 fishermen have been recovered, while the search continues for the remaining two missing individuals.

Transport accidents resulting in fatalities are unfortunately common in Pakistan due to overcrowding and lax safety measures.

The boat, which had 45 crew members on board, overturned near Hajamro Creek, close to the Indian border, attributed to adverse weather conditions.

Overloading is a frequent issue with leisure and working boats in Pakistan, making them prone to capsizing.
