19 Chinese Military Aircraft, 7 Naval Vessels Spotted Near Taiwan

Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense (MND) reported that 19 Chinese military aircraft and seven warships were detected near the country in the last 24 hours until 6 a.m. (local time) on Thursday. Taiwan’s Ministry of National Security said that 12 of 19 aircraft belonging to the Chinese People’s Liberation Army crossed the middle line of the Taiwan Strait.

According to Taiwan News, Taiwan responded to China’s actions by sending its own aircraft, ships, and air defense missiles to monitor the activities of the People’s Liberation Army.
Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense made a statement regarding crossing the equator of the Taiwan Strait and entering Taiwan’s northern, southwestern and eastern anti-aircraft defense zone.

CAP aircraft, submarines and coastal missiles respond to surveillance missions. ” Since September 2020, China has been sending a large number of military aircraft and ships to the vicinity of Taiwan, applying many tactics in the gray zone.

Gray zone tactics are defined as “efforts or forces that go beyond normal defense and assurance and are in a state of readiness.” According to media reports in Taiwan, on March 14, he warned that China would use the army, saying that the exercises aimed to cover up Taiwan’s influence and that it was cooperating with the American army.

The growing threat comes from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA). He noted that despite China’s economic and demographic problems, as well as corruption in the People’s Liberation Army, Beijing’s leadership remains firm in its thoughts.

Admiral Paparo said that these goals include expansion to the world, the Western Pacific, Southern China, the sea and especially Taiwan, according to Taiwanese media. Paparo said that in the last three years, the People’s Liberation Army has gained significant strength and unity.

Noting that these developments, together with joint PLA exercises and increasing early warning systems, indicate that China will have sufficient power in the near future, Paparo now talked about the “destruction of business intelligence and early warning”.

It is a challenge for the United States and its allies to spot signs of withdrawal from China. If China chooses a solution, Paparo said, it could impact the U.S. military’s ability to support its allies and partners and its preparations to defend Taiwan.
