35 Shades Of Upcoming LA 2028 Olympics Logo Has Unveiled! Billie Eilish, Chloe Kim Are One Of The Designers

The LA 2028 logo was revealed on Tuesday, September 1, along with a list of 26 “creators” who will represent the city and the Games.

This group includes 14 athletes, with six Olympic champions like Allyson Felix, who was key in Los Angeles’ bid for the Games. Felix, along with Simone Manuel and Alex Morgan, hopes to compete in the postponed Tokyo 2020 Games.

Other gold medallists on the list include Gabby Douglas, Michael Johnson, and Chloe Kim, as well as bronze medallists Adam Rippon and Ibtihaj Muhammad. Young boxing hopeful Chantel Navarro also hopes to debut at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Paralympians featured are two-time cycling champion Oz Sanchez, four-time long jump silver medallist Lex Gillette, and Rio Paralympian Scout Bassett. Ezra Frech and Jamal Hill, who are aiming for their first Paralympic Games in Tokyo next year, are also included.

Singer Billie Eilish, actress Reese Witherspoon, and YouTube star Lilly Singh are among the other personalities contributing their views of Los Angeles through art, creating different versions of the ‘A’ in the LA28 logo. There are currently 32 versions of the ‘A’, each telling a unique story.

What Does LA28 Olympic Logo Signifies?

Logos have always been a key part of Olympic preparations, and Los Angeles 2028 is bringing a fresh twist to this tradition.

The striking black L, 2, and 8 serve as a base for the “dynamic and ever-changing” A, which reflects “individual stories.” Fans will soon have the chance to create their own versions of the logo.

Janet Evans, LA28 Chief Athlete Officer and a five-time Olympic swimming medallist, explained, “Los Angeles doesn’t fit into just one identity, and there’s no single way to represent LA. The city is defined by its people, and the LA28 Games should show that.

“The best way to capture LA’s energy and the spirit of the Games is through a mix of voices.”

Felix mentioned that her ‘A’ design is inspired by her passion for movement and her Los Angeles roots.
