The Israel Defense Forces reported that five Palestinian militants were killed in an overnight counter-terrorism operation in Jenin. The military stated that some of the militants sought refuge in a local hospital, where they were apprehended. An Israeli drone targeted a group of militants firing at soldiers during the raid, and additional Palestinians threw explosives. Several gunmen fled in vehicles, with one being apprehended at the hospital entrance, where three M-16 rifles were discovered in his vehicle.
In separate counter-terrorism efforts, security forces in Hebron identified and marked for demolition the homes of three terrorists responsible for a shooting attack at a checkpoint south of Jerusalem. The attack resulted in the death of Avraham Fetena, a 20-year-old military police officer, and injuries to five others. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
A total of 21 Palestinians were arrested in Judea and Samaria during the raids, with six having affiliations with Hamas. Since October 7, over 1,750 wanted Palestinians have been arrested in Judea and Samaria, with 1,050 associated with Hamas.
