An armed clash between two groups over a land dispute resulted in the deaths of five people in Sukkur city, Pakistan, ARY News reported.
According to an official from the Bagarji police, the dispute stemmed from a long-standing rivalry between the two groups and erupted into a gunfire exchange. The official stated that four people from one group were killed in the violence, three of whom died on the spot, while one succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Additionally, another person from the rival group was killed in the gunfire exchange, ARY News reported.
The official noted that this land dispute had previously resulted in the deaths of three people. The investigation into the dispute is ongoing, and the bodies of the deceased have been sent to the District Headquarters Hospital for further examination, ARY News reported.

In a separate incident, five people lost their lives in a land dispute case in Lower Orakzai Tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s district after rival tribes clashed. Several others were injured in the gunfire exchange, ARY News reported.
Earlier, a disturbing incident occurred when a brother shot his sister in the Atari Road area of Hujrah Shah Muqeem in Depalpur Tehsil of Okara District, Punjab province, Pakistan. The shooting happened after the sister failed her ninth-grade exam. Police officials stated that the suspect fled the scene, and authorities have launched a search operation to arrest him. A case has been registered based on a complaint filed by the victim’s mother, as per ARY News.
In another separate incident in Kabirwala, Punjab, a stepson murdered his two stepbrothers following a matrimonial dispute. The suspect, Muneer Ahmed, allegedly killed one brother by shooting him and the other by stabbing him with a knife.
