Nationwide protests in Bangladesh (Reuters)
Salim Raza from Bangladesh: Clashes are ongoing in various parts of Bangladesh over the non-cooperation movement. Demonstrators are holding protests and rallies at important locations in Bangladesh, including the capital Dhaka. In response, the Awami League and allied organizations have taken to the field. At least 86 people, including 14 police officers, have been killed in clashes in various parts of Bangladesh. The Bangladeshi government has announced an indefinite curfew and a three-day general holiday starting Monday.

The anti-discrimination student movement has begun making various demands, including the halting of the arrest campaign and murder trials. Attacks, deaths, and arrests of students in the movement have changed its style and program.
