Following the controversial opening ceremony, American telecommunication company C-spire has decided to remove its ads from the Paris Olympics 2024.
Taking to social media platform X, C-Spire condemning the event said ‘We were shocked by the mockery of the Last Supper during the opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics. C Spire will be pulling our advertising from the Olympics.’

As a result, it drew condemnation of many religious leaders and politicians globally, calling it anti-Christian, due to its portrayal of religious and historical figures.
Later, along with other religious leaders and politicians, the telecommunication company also called out the alleged anti-Christian display.
However, many social media users gave strong reaction to this decision, with one user praising the decision and said ‘I just followed them since they stood up! Definitely worth looking into this company, now! The best advertisement ever!’
In contrast, one user criticizing this decision said ‘My company uses your services. We’ll be changing providers. We can’t do business with a spineless company that bows to the radical right.’
