Caught on Camera: Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s Killing Unveiled in Shocking Video Footage

A purported video footage depicting the killing of India-designated terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar has surfaced, revealing Nijjar being shot by armed individuals in what is being described as a ‘contract killing’, as reported by Canada-based CBC News.

Nijjar, designated as a terrorist by the National Investigation Agency in 2020, was fatally shot outside a Gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia, on the evening of June 18, 2023.

The video, obtained by The Fifth Estate and independently verified by multiple sources, details a ‘highly coordinated’ attack involving six men and two vehicles.

The targeted killing of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara president led to accusations from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, alleging Indian government involvement—a claim vehemently denied by India, leading to strained diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The footage shows Nijjar leaving the Gurdwara parking lot in his grey Dodge Ram pickup truck. A white sedan blocks his path at the exit, following which two men emerge and shoot Nijjar before fleeing in a silver Toyota Camry.

Eyewitnesses, playing soccer nearby during the incident, reported hearing gunshots and rushing to the scene. Bhupinderjit Singh Sidhu and Malkit Singh recounted their attempts to apprehend the assailants, with Sidhu providing aid to Nijjar while Malkit pursued the fleeing suspects.

Despite nearly nine months passing since the incident, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has yet to name suspects or make arrests in connection to Nijjar’s killing, fueling further tensions between India and Canada.

Last September, Prime Minister Trudeau’s allegations of Indian involvement in Nijjar’s killing elicited a strong rebuke from India, with the Ministry of External Affairs dismissing the claims as “absurd and motivated” due to a lack of evidence presented by Canada.
