During his visit that spanned three days, Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister, held a meeting with Min Gan Kim Yong, Singapore’s Minister for Trade and Industry. The two sides engaged in a discussion about the important role of the industry in the skilling ecosystem and the preparation of the workforce for the future.

The official Twitter account of Singapore in India shared a tweet on Monday highlighting the meeting, stating that the Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India had a productive discussion with Minister Min Gan Kim Yong, emphasizing the industry’s significant role in the skilling ecosystem and ensuring the workforce’s relevance and readiness for the future.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan commenced his three-day visit to Singapore on Sunday, with the objective of strengthening existing ties and exploring avenues for expanding bilateral engagement in the areas of education and skill development.

During the visit, Dharmendra Pradhan scheduled meetings with members of the Indian diaspora and the Odia Association. Additionally, the Minister will interact with alumni from prestigious institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) in Singapore, as stated in an official Ministry statement.
