Donald Trump Praises Elon Musk For Bold Leadership in Firing Workers, Says, ‘You’re The Greatest Cutter’

In a recent interview streamed on X (formerly Twitter), former President Donald Trump lauded the leaders of Russia, China, and North Korea, asserting that they are “at the top of their game” and emphasizing the need for a strong U.S. president to confront them.

During the conversation, which was streamed live and hosted by Elon Musk, Trump remarked, “(Vladimir) Putin, Xi (Jinping), Kim Jong Un are at the top of their game.” He described these leaders, often labeled as dictators, as having a unique form of patriotism. “They love their country, but it is a different form of love,” Trump said.

Trump used the opportunity to criticize his successor, President Joe Biden, whom he referred to as “sleepy Joe.” He claimed that the ongoing conflict in Ukraine might not have escalated if he were still in office. “I got along with Putin very well, and he respected me. We would talk about Ukraine. It was the apple of his eye. But I told him don’t do it,” Trump stated, suggesting that his personal diplomacy could have averted the invasion.

The interview faced delays of over 40 minutes from its scheduled start due to technical issues. Musk attributed the disruption to a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack—a type of cyber assault designed to overwhelm and shut down a server or network—though this explanation was not independently verified.
