The event, initially set to begin at 5:30 AM IST, experienced a delay of over 40 minutes due to a DDOS attack, a type of cyberattack. The conversation, which lasted more than two hours, included an extensive discussion about the recent assassination attempt on Trump. The Republican nominee also used the opportunity to criticize his Democratic rival Kamala Harris in the context of the 2024 US presidential elections.
Elon Musk questioned whether people fear the American president or not, noting that Trump projects a “Don’t mess with me” attitude, while Biden and Kamala don’t seem to intimidate others in the same way. He emphasized the need to consider global security, suggesting that a strong leader can have a significant impact on it, much like a dictator might.
Donald Trump replied saying, “So, I had a good relationship with Putin despite the “Russia, Russia, Russia” hoax that lasted for over two years—a hoax created by Hillary Clinton and Adam Schiff. They are just bad people. I mean, Schiff is sick; they put our country in danger with that. But I know Putin, and he respected me. We talked a lot about Ukraine. It was the apple of his eye, and I told him, ‘Don’t ever do it’.”
“You know, I shut down Nord Stream 2, which was the biggest pipeline in the world. And when Biden came, he shut down the Keystone XL Pipeline that could have employed 48,000 workers in a town and approved the Russian pipeline.”
Donald trump emphasized his friendly relationship with Vladimir Putin (President of Russia), Kim Jong Un (Supreme Leader of North Korea), President Xi.
He said, “Elon, I know all the leaders. I know Putin, I know Kim Jong Un, I know President Xi. I know them all. I’m not saying they are good or bad; I’m saying I know them, and they are at the top of their game. But when they see Kamala or when they see Biden, “Sleepy Joe,” they can’t believe it.”
He added, “Look at Israel; they are all waiting for an attack from Iran. However, Iran would never attack, believe me. When I was there, Iran was broke, and I told China that if they buy oil from Iran, that’s where the money is.”
