Eight teachers from the same school were killed in two separate instances in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province’s Upper Kurram Tehsil, according to a report.

In Upper Kurram Tehsil, there were at least seven teacher fatalities. As reported in the news, unidentified gunmen opened fire on the instructors in the Government High School Tari Mangal’s staff room. At the time of the occurrence, every instructor was present in the building and engaged in their exam-related activities.

In all the hospitals in the area, an emergency has been declared by the authorities. A teacher was killed in another incident in the Parachinar area of Upper Kurram while driving on Shalozan Road. The incident brought the day’s total of teacher fatalities to eight. The teacher who was killed inside the car, Mohammad Sharif, attended the same school, according to the police.

The ongoing matriculation exams, which got underway on April 28, were postponed following the incident until further notice. The killers are being sought after by the police.

According to Geo News, the police have so far been unsuccessful in finding the murderers.
According to Geo News, Pakistani President Arif Alvi denounced the killing of teachers and expressed sorrow over the two incidents.

He offered his condolences to the families of the deceased and hoped that the suspect would soon be held accountable for his crimes.

Asif Ali Zardari, a former president of Pakistan and co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, also denounced the killing of teachers. He argued that those responsible for the murder of teachers should face justice.

Taking to its official Twitter handle, the secretariat of the chairman Pakistan Peoples Party posted, “Former President Asif Ali Zardari expressed regret over the killing of 7 teachers in Parachinar Killing of teachers during duty is terrorism, Asif Ali Zardari Criminals involved in the killing of teachers should be brought to justice, Asif Ali Zardari Asif Ali Zardari’s prayer for the forgiveness of the slain teachers and high ranks Asif Ali Zardari expressed sympathy and condolences to the families of the slain teachers.”
