Elon Musk allows ‘general amnesty’ for other suspended Twitter accounts

New Twitter CEO Elon Musk declared on Friday that he will launch a “universal amnesty” for other suspended accounts after reinstating former US President Donald Trump’s Twitter handle.

Musk posted on Twitter, “The populace has spoken. The amnesty period begins next week. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.”

Vox Populi, Vox Dei is a Latin phrase that means ” voice of people is God’s voice.”

Twitter CEO Musk has created a poll in which users may vote on whether microblogging service should provide universal amnesty to other banned accounts if they have not breached the law or participated in severe spam.

According to the survey findings, more than 3 million individuals voted in the poll, with a majority of 72.4 percent voting in favour of amnesty.

Musk took to Twitter saying “Should Twitter provide widespread amnesty to ban accounts if they haven’t breached the law or participated in flagrant spam?”

Earlier, Musk launched a poll on the microblogging website, asking users to vote on whether to reinstate the account of former US President Donald Trump, who was previously barred for life for inciting violence.
