Taiwan’s Central Weather Administration reported the earthquake’s intensity as the second-highest level in Hualien County. Indian authorities in Taiwan are actively monitoring the situation, providing assistance and guidance to Indian nationals residing in the country.

Hashmi, a postdoctoral fellow at the Taiwan Asia Exchange Foundation, noted the proactive response of Indian authorities in Taiwan, issuing advisories and maintaining communication with citizens. Efforts are underway to prepare for potential aftershocks, particularly in Taiwan’s capital, Taipei.

The India Taipei Association issued advisories urging Indian nationals to follow local authorities’ instructions and provided a helpline for assistance. They encouraged Indian residents to share the advisory within their networks for broader circulation, ensuring the dissemination of critical information during the crisis.
